¿Será el encuentro uno de los asuntos más significativos de la existencia?

Pienso que sí.

A veces el encuentro es fugaz, una mirada  con alguien que te cruzas por la calle ..., en ocasiones surge la conversación ... y después de una otra ... y si el dialogo fluye, puede llevar a la profundización en el conocimiento de uno mismo y del otro.

Así nos vamos construyendo ...

Fotografía para mí es ENCUENTRO, encuentro con personas ..., lugares ..., elementos ..., lo poético, lo mínimo que de repente toma otra dimensión ..., y también, encuentro conmigo misma.

Is meeting one of the most significant issues of existence?

I think so.

Sometimes the encounter is fleeting, a glance with someone you pass on the street ..., sometimes a conversation arises ... and then another ... and if the dialogue flows, it can lead to a deepening of the knowledge of oneself and of the other.

This is how we build each other up ...

Photography for me is ENCOUNTER, encounter with people ..., places ..., elements ..., the poetic, the minimum that suddenly takes another dimension ..., and also, encounter with myself.

La fotografía, ha propiciado en mí  el encuentro con personas que han despertado mi admiración y respeto.

En ocasiones, ademas de hablar, estudiar, pensar la fotografía, también hemos fotografiado.

Aquí, "huella" de mi encuentro con el Maestro Javier Vallhonrat.

Un privilegio, fotografiar los pies del Maestro que tantos caminos ha recorrido.

Sometimes, besides talking, studying, thinking about photography, we have also photographed.

Here, "trace" of my meeting with Master Javier Vallhonrat.

A privilege to photograph the feet of the Master who has traveled so many roads.

Botánico.

Botánico

Proyecto abierto iniciado en abril de 2021

    LUGAR: Coordenadas 40º 24 ́39” N 3º41 ́29” O 

    REAL JARDÍN BOTÁNICO DE MADRID

    Fundado en 1755, fue trasladado al espacio que ahora ocupa en 1774.

   A mi modo de ver, un buen lugar para la "dérive" (deriva), caminar y caminar ..., en la búsqueda de los infinitos matices ...

 

Caminando por el Jardín Botánico, puedes llegar cobijarte bajo la alargada sombra del ciprés (Cupressus sempervirens L.) de casi tres siglos de edad ..., que quien sabe si es -el árbol de la vida-.

 

Olmo del Cáucaso, el más alto.

Enebro chino. Albaricoquero japonés de flor. Espìno de China. Boj (región mediterránea). 

Los "grandes" bajitos, no más de 0,50 cm.

De esta imagen, me gusta su sobriedad, su linealidad, su sencillez formal ...; si se mira con detenimiento, se aprecia que algunas de esas lineas, terminan en un capullo preñado de flor a punto de estallar ...

          

Me emocionó esa flor que me miraba irradiando belleza y energía a pesar de haber perdido la mitad de su ser y estar rodeada de "congéneres" que lo habían perdido todo; me pareció de algún modo paradigmática de ese tiempo de Pandemia que estábamos viviendo (fotografía tomada en abril de 2021).

Pabellón Villanueva construido en el siglo XVIII y rehabilitado en 2008.

El día 6 de junio de 2019 (dos años antes de realizar estas fotografías) caminé pausadamente por el Jardín Botánico tratando de saborear cada paso ..., llegué hasta el Pabellón Villanueva, allí tenia lugar la inauguración del Festival PHotoESPAÑA con una Exposición del Maestro Javier Vallhonrat “La sombra incisa”; naturaleza, arte, cultura, encuentro ..., en un mismo lugar, en una simbiosis única.

En 2021, en el mismo Pabellón Villanueva, encontré "La sal", exposición de Carmen Laffón

En 2022 una colección de fotografías de "Botánico" tienen una "nueva vida" en exposición permanente.

Impresas en papel algodón mate calidad museo se han llenado de matices ...

Open project started in April 2021

 LOCATION: Coordinates 40º 24 ́39" N 3º41 ́29" W 

 ROYAL BOTANICAL GARDEN OF MADRID

Founded in 1755, it was moved to the space it now occupies in 1774.

In my opinion, a good place for "dérive" (drifting), walking and walking ..., in search of the infinite nuances ...

Walking through the Botanical Garden, you can get to shelter under the long shade of the cypress (Cupressus sempervirens L.) of almost three centuries old ..., who knows if it is -the tree of life-.

 

Elm of the Caucasus, 40 meters high.

Chinese juniper. Japanese flowering apricot tree. Chinese hawthorn. Boxwood (Mediterranean region). 

The "big" short ones, no more than 0,50 cm.

Of this image, I like its sobriety, its linearity, its formal simplicity ...; if you look closely, you can see that some of these lines end in a bud pregnant with a flower about to burst ...

I was moved by that flower that looked at me radiating beauty and energy despite having lost half of its being and being surrounded by "congeners" who had lost everything; it seemed to me somehow paradigmatic of that time of Pandemic that we were living (photograph taken in April 2021).

Villanueva Pavilion built in the 18th century and rehabilitated in 2008.

On June 6, 2019 (two years before taking these photographs) I walked slowly through the Botanical Garden trying to savor every step ..., I arrived at the Villanueva Pavilion, there was the opening of the PHotoESPAÑA Festival with an exhibition of Master Javier Vallhonrat "La sombra incisa"; nature, art, culture, meeting ..., in the same place, in a unique symbiosis.

In 2021, in the same Villanueva Pavilion, I found "La sal", exhibition of Carmen Laffón.

In 2022 a collection of photographs of "Botanico" have a "new life" in permanent exhibition.

Printed on museum quality matte cotton paper, they have been filled with nuances ...
